Yeah, I hear ya there. I used to have to buy a bike yearly cause I'd put them through so much hell. I ALWAYS rode my bike. I'm not too rusty yet, can still pull off the endos and the catwalks, so I'm not quite losing my touch. But, tonight, the trail will put me to the test, there are always some weird spots in there.

It's best to take it easy the first few rides. Don't forget to stretch n watch out for those low hanging branches

LOL!! You make it sound like I'm an old newb

I'll be fine, just need to get my endurance built back up, but I plan on doing a lot of riding this summer so I should be good by the time winter hits.

Even seasoned riders should stretch out n stuff before riding. I'm putting shifters on my bike next week or so and will be having my way with the trails soon enough, for now I'm stuck in big/little 53/11

Of course they should, but I'm also young, never stretched, just take it easy for a few mins and you'll be ok.

That's what normally broke on my bikes, shifters and then cables...I actually flattened the bearing in my rear wheel on one of them. Going to school one day in the grass, hit a little bump just right...that thing was FLAT, not the tire, just the bearing....

yuk! I remember bending my rear axle after jumping off a table, couldn't just slide out the old axle and replace it, cause it was pressed in with the bearings, tried hammering it out, but that wasn't getting me anywhere and just screwed the bearings up so I had to replace the wheel.. I hate when stuff breaks.. I rode the new wheel on there for like a week before I got a big flat spot on it from some jerk that whacked it with a baseball bat, strange enough it didn't go flat? good thing too, cause he'd probly have hit me next. Back then I thought 70 bucks for a wheel was too expensive.. Now the good ones are like 400 each. WTF?

Yeah, I wasn't even trying to jump anything. I've had my days of jumping crap being crazy.

I was able to get my speedo on and working today. Works nice, not 100% how accurate it is, but I'll find out soon enough. I wasn't able to get to the trail, weather is too crappy for that, don't wanna get caught that far away from home in a rainstorm. This weekend though....

Give him some credit Cauz, after all he mentioned he wears his Speedo when riding his bike (as disturbing as it sounded, I believed him).
