Here in O-Town, it started raining about 5 PM yesterday and is still raining off and on in some places. The bulk of the storm has passed us (I think) and should be up in your neck of the woods in the next few hours....

I'm not sure when it started but I heard it at 5am. It's been raining steady since then. Half the time pretty hard.

The conversation all day yesterday from everyone that came to my office was "Did you hear we are getting rain?" Never thought I'd hear so many people be so excited about rain.

Rained here today. Supposed to storm and rain all day tomorrow. I'll believe it when I see it.

Cool! I used to ride everywhere, I'm putting together another bike that I can ride around in pretty much any weather. A little tip, get your brake pads set at a slight angle, so that they hit the rim with the back edge first, it will keep them from squeeking and give you better braking control.

Thanks for the advice, mine are set like that, well at least the rears. I have a front disc brake, and I did get my bike together, got a VERY little bit of riding in last night, and so far I love it. Tonight after work (weather permitting) I will be installing my speedo and going for a trail ride.

Sounds like fun, I gotta get lights before I get a guage. The only time I have to ride is early morning or when I get back from taking care of grandma after dark... I didn't want to take my road bike out till I get more miles in after not riding for a couple years, so I should get to ride more often after building this beater cross bike.. I'm not so worried about scratching or crashing on IT cause it didn't cost all that much to build.
