The Avast scans are clean so I hope that means the Rootkit was deleted with the file. I guess since I did not open it it was contained to the file.
I can't find the SuperAntiware Control Center to adjust the settings so it won't start up with windows. I looked at the thumbnail that you attacked but I can't figure out how to make it go there. Everything that you suggested has been put on the desktop so am I ready to put my disk in and load my documents

Think it is likely you are fine. In SUPERAntispyware, click the large Preferences button on the Left side, it has a little gear icon inside the big rectangular button.
Be sure that you scan all your documents taken from the computer before the cleaning. Very easy to do, as you put each one on, DON'T open it but Right Click each file and choose Scan with MBA-M. It will quickly scan it and tell you if it is clean. If it is NOT clean then I would choose, if it were my computer to just delete the file. Attempting to clean it might clean it but it still might render it useless so you would lose it anyway.

You can also install your printer, scanner, whatever else you had on there. You would do this just like you did whenever you first installed the item. You can also install any programs you had on there. If they were downloaded programs, then download new copies, best way to go.

Unless you have other questions I would say this computer is "good to go".

I was wondering if I should also put the Combofix back on my desktop and run it as we did earlier or are you pretty sure the Rootkit is gone by the Malwarebytes and Avast scan results? I also have a disk "Easy CD & DVD burning 10.3" that came with the computer disks. Do I need to reinstall that or is there something in Windows or a better program for burning my disks? Unless I hear different from you I think I am at the point of putting my information back on my computer. But I will wait until you say I am ready before I begin. Thanks!

First of all, your question about combofix....ABSOLUTELY NOT.
Combofix is a "last gasp". After everything else possible has been done when there are KNOWN infection files on the computer and cannot be removed any other way. It is most definitely NOT a standard tool in any sense of the word.
Here is information from bleepingcomputer, the ONE and ONLY "keeper" of this tool:
ComboFix is an excellent but powerful tool. Running ComboFix by yourself is like performing open heart surgery on yourself--the scalpel and other surgical tools that is ComboFix is meant to be wielded by a highly trained surgeon only in emergencies or dire circumstances. When the surgeon is thru s/he leaves the room. So ComboFix should be removed from a system once it has accomplished its job, unlike an AV that is there to protect you from future infections.
No one should be using ComboFix unless specifically instructed to do so by a Malware Removal Expert who can interpret the logs. It is a powerful tool intended by its creator to be "used under the guidance and supervision of an expert", NOT for general public or personal use. ComboFix was never meant to be used as a general purpose malware scanner like SuperAntispyware or Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware which scan individual drives or different folders on a computer for viruses. Using this tool incorrectly could lead to disastrous problems with your operating system such as preventing it from ever starting again.
The Easy CD & DVD burning program is Roxio burning program and as you said, was installed when you got the computer. If you used it, install it. If you didn't then you don't have to install it. It's your choice. I've had it on all my Dell computers and never took it off. It's up to you.
Can't think of anything else to tell you to do, so I will "hand you back the keys" and say now you can drive anywhere you wish.

All I can say about the Combofix quote is, OH MY! I am sure glad that I asked first. But like I said earlier I have learned some things and one of them is to ask before I leap! Thanks again, I do think it is time for me to take the keys back. The road was bumpy for awhile and I am sure glad I had you along to drive!!

OH MY is right as far as combofix. I have seen people use it without being told to and they pretty much have "toasted" a perfectly good machine and for no reason. It's really for very severe infections which is why it's not used often and also why its not included in any normal, "What to do when infected" instructions, because most of the time it just isn't needed. It is also something you never keep on a machine, "just in case". It is updated usually every day so if a person has an old copy but a brand new type of infection then it wouldn't do a thing but possibly damage their machine. It's also never used twice unless given the instruction to do so and then there are very special and different instructions that are used. So basically it is a "one time deal". Once a person is finished with it then it's installed and even the uninstall instructions are very different than a regular uninstall.
You did a superb job Frances! Yes, ask questions is one of the main things to do. Of course have also had people carry even that to the extreme..."click on the blue button?"..."yes the blue button."...."is it the light blue button?"...."yes, the light blue button."...."the one that says click?"..."yes, the only button on the page." LOL.
    You did a super job.

Hello Again! I have a quick question. I was looking for something in my files and found a file named "Qoobox", when I Googled it I found out that it was something from Combofix. Since I did not put Combofix back on after the clean reinstall I am not sure where it came from. I tried to delete the folder however I got a message that said I needed administrator permission to delete the folder so thus the question. Is this something that I need to be concerned with or just ignore it?

That is the quarantine folder from Combofix. Evidently you did not do a full reformat/reinstall but only a repair install because if you had done the full reformat of the hard drive all files on the hard drive would have been removed. You should be able to delete it by logging onto the computer using the Administrator account. It won't hurt anything by being on there but it isn't needed at all and please do not put combofix back onto the computer. It is a specialized tool to be used in only very specific conditions.

Interesting, because I thought I did a full reformat but if it worked and everything seems to be okay I guess it doesn't matter that somehow I must have done something wrong. Thanks for the quick reply! Hope this finds everything well with you!!
