if there was that much security, you wouldn't have had the tech crash a few years back.
Sure there are some jobs that will be needed, but not as many.

Don't say that...the jobs just aren't needed for INTERNAL company issues as most companies require a moderate knowledge of computer USE to be employed, whereas normal consumers aren't required to have any knowledge.....

But average Joe's computing history is relatively very new but going forward the newer generation that grow up with ever growing technology and computer exposure will surpass the previous generation even if they are working in the IT field...
My 10 year old nephew seems like a genius comparing to his parents as far as computer knowledge goes...he knows how hopeless they are and he also realized that I was somewhat knowledgeable on the topic so he has been sucking up to be big time. Though another 10 years, he might think my computer skills is inferior compared to his!![]()
see, the IT field isn't like the old days, when you could basically abuse the users because they didn't have a choice.
My kids are not obsessed with the technicals of computers, but they can do the basics along with a somewhat understanding of how my LAN works.

Yes, but the abuse is still prevalent and possible. Granted people are realizing where the basic stuff is, but they act like they know a LOT more than they actually do....that's the big thing that kills me at work.
