That is what I was thinking also. LOTS of people have had problems with it.
When you looked in Event viewer look in Applications. Look at those noted in Red. Double click on one of them and you should get Event ID and Event Source. Pick the most recent and give us everything that is noted there. We know it is explorer.exe but we need to know the offending file and Event ID along with Event Source.
