    nfs prostreet

    Just trying to get some graphics settings worked out in this game, I tried,filtering and aa settings and higher resolutions; but not getting "better" image quality; The cars edge's and rooflines are all jaggy looking.. Changing things in the nvidia control panel; I set an application profile to override any game options and use 4xaa and some other settings, but? nothing seams to change when I reload the game. If I bump up to 1600x1200, it looks better, but I'm still seeing tons of jaggies...

    I figured a couple things out, it's much better with single gpu/hi-res, but there's still alot of jagies on the roof lines, road lines, and edges of 3d models.... I can't tell it to use AA and NON anisotropic; clamp etc... it just ignores the settings... gotta use default graphics settings in windows/display properties/3d control panel thing; then use the in-game graphics adjustments; still not as good as I hoped graphics wise.. now I gotta figure out how to change my analog stick sensitivity, I have a wheel and pedals hiding somewhere, but I think the steering has alot of dead spot with slop in the mechanical parts..;;

    The bump mapping on the baloons in the race-day pre-race lobby thing look nice though..... not to give you second thoughts about the game, but even on "king" no assists, it's kinda "arcade-ish" I think I'd rather play gran-tourismo, or nfsu2, atleast nfsu2 listens to my graphics settings.. hopefully there's some "patches" for DX/d3d... or a plain old "D3D" exe like they used to do....

    Oh, I need help; I can't turn down the control sensitivity!!! no options in the menu, no options with the controller driver.... it's analog, in windows controller setup, config; it shows that by moving the stick slightly, the target also moves that slight amount, so it's working properly..

    The game controls are stupid.. full left or full right, with even the slightest amount of pressure on the thumb stick.

    I need to nudge the car into a turn instead of full left/right lock to lock, just by tapping the stick one way or the other... I can't beat the two races that give you all the same cars because everytime I turn it's like slamming on the brakes.. It will jerk the tires all the way in one direction and rpms drop too much/speed drops too much, even just tapping, like if you were sawing away at the steering wheel on gravel to keep directional traction.... I've been tapping the stick and quickly letting off and re-tapping over and over as if it were digital controlls, I might as well be using the keyboard..... I need to be able to add just enough input to change direction without loosing too much speed... this fn sucks big kinky donky punches......... all the cars just pass right by unless I cut them off big time, but turning to cut them off slows me down even more, and frickn then some other car passes on the other side......

    So far I'm highly disappointed in EA for this release of NFS. It's not nearly as NFS-ish as I would've hoped. Maybe the game gets better the deeper you get into it, but as of right now, I'm not impressed.

    I've pretty much stopped playing it.... it's like all the event's in underground over and over and over, with no free driving around.. I've got to a point where I need to start looking at high-end grip cars and fine tuning.. I don't have time for this; so that is my stopping point.. The game is far away from NFS's previous "physics" in relation to controlling the vehicles, "in a bad way" because I can't get ahead of people in the wrx due to the car's acting like you slammed on the brakes by barely tapping the thumbstick in the direction you want to turn, equals steering input, not braking input... even with assists off.. But the fun stuff is the drag racing... My cuda drag car turns 7.60's in the quarter
