Ok well one thing that F1 pointed out to me that in one of your screenshots you show two different sound devices listed, onboard (SoundMAX) and the other a Soundblaster Live 24-bit add-in card.
You should only have ONE of these enabled at any given time. Soundblaster does not work well with other devices. Disable the SoundMAX and see if this helps, or vice/versa. But only use one.

Ok i'm not able to do that right now, but i should be able to try that later this evening once i can ill try to report back here. Although just wanted to mention that the sounds do work right now but when i check the properties in there i get that error message.

Disable one of those sound devices.
