Sorry Star, but I disagree..it is NOT fine, it is causing many people major problems and the one I worked on yesterday (a brand NEW computer that came with VISTA installed and NOT an upgrade) was having problems with Windows Mail...one of MS's own programs... and while searching for the answer I found 100's and I do mean 100's of complaints on multiple websites from people with exactly the same problems the computer I worked on was having.Vista itself is fine (as an O/S)
now we are just waiting to software to be compiled with VISTA in mind..
not how he says he installed it...
If "we" whomever your "we" is...are waiting for software to be complied with VISTA in mind then they shouldn't have put the program out there until all was ready.
Microsofts own website gives very little information and many bits are only partial..."Try the troubleshooter" which brings you right back to the page you had just left...no troubleshooter there and no troubleshooter within portions of Vista, other than the line Try the Troubleshooter and if it IS there then the link should tell you how to get there.
No, he doesn't say how he installed it, that is why I posted the questions I did.
