An Oldie but still a goodie...

Hans(who spoke with a very thick accent) and Franz(who spoke perfect English) moved to the U.S....Legally I might add...and both applied for jobs at the same factory and both were hired.
After the first week both were pleased to receive their first paychecks in their new country.
Hans looked at his check and said to Franz, "look at dis, I can't believe it, $450.00 dis is truly a wonderful country."
Now Franz didn't understand it, they both had been hired to do the very same job, but Hans was making $200 more a week than he was. On Monday Franz went to the boss and asked him why Hans was hired on making $200 more a week than he did when, in the old country they both worked in the same factory. The boss told him, "yes I know you both worked in the same factory but Hans is a skilled tradesman. Here skilled tradesmen always make more than a regular worker." Franz asked, "what do you mean skilled tradesman?" The boss answered, "Hans is a diesel fitter." "Where did you get this idea?", asked Franz. "I was interviewed first and you asked what I had done in my native country and I told you I worked in a pany hose factory and that my friend Hans that you would interview next worked there too." The boss said that yes he knew they worked in the same factory but when he asked Hans what job he did he said, "I da diesel fitter." Franz asked the boss if he understood Hans, with his broken English and the boss said he thought he had. Franz said, "we both did the same job in the panty hose factory. After the panty hose came through the weaving machine and passed down the line for packaging instead of placing them on the stretching frame for sizing Hans would put them over his head and say, "Ya, deez'll fit'er."
