Yup. It's saving as a .log file, or so it looks.

    Question

Ok, this is off the topic that you guys have been working on but did I miss something?
    Since when HijackThis.exe appears as
    C:\Program Files\hijackthis\hjtscan.exe.exe
    ?
PSH, both of your HJT logs show program executable as that which is different than what I am customed to.
Where did you download the program from?

Did you use the link that I have given you before or did you download it from some other site (if so where from)?

I am sensing you are not following the instructions too well but if the instructions are not clear, please do mention before doing anything.

I noticed that too. I was going through some other things.

    The date isn't right either:
Scan saved at 16:22:07, on 12/03/2007

ok the reason it appears that way is,
i was told to put it into my program files and rename it before doing a scan,
when i was in the middle of a cleaning process.
i followed the instructions from the this link on page 13 of this thread!
unless ive followed it wrong please have a look.

You must have your settings for datestamps different. It's probably formatted DD/MM/YYYY.

    If so, ignore my post.

No you are correct with the date...we are in U.S. we would show the date as 03/12/07. That caught me too until I noticed you were in the U.K.

That's what I figured. But unless I missed something, the HJT log looks alright. I don't see anything out of the ordinary here, except for the missing A/V processess, but IIRC psh was told to turn them off.
