    Start Up Time:

    Start to Desktop: 1:45
    Everything Loaded: 4:35

    Should it be faster?

Did you receive disks with your computer? The correct DVD player driver should be on one of those. I have a Dell, mine is the Cyberlink PowerDVD, the driver is on there. Don't know if yours would be the same one or not.

Yes boot up should be much faster. Mine totally boots in less than 1:30.
Let me have a look at your HJT log and I will tell you what you can stop auto loading at start up. Back with that list shortly

Download and install this program, it is free by the way,
Mike Lin's Startup Control Panel. Once installed you will find it in the Control Panel with a little computer icon labeled Startup.
Open the program, go through the various tabs and remove the checkmarks from the following:
    IgfxTray
    Persistence
    TkBellExe
    SunJavaUpdateSched
    USBToolTip
After you have removed the check marks then close the program, reboot and come back and let me know if things have speeded up at all.

Remember a key reason for the slow boot time is that Symantec stuff, look how many processes it loads during boot up - 7 for that program alone.
Also not really crazy about that Auslogic Boost Speed. Never been proven that programs like that do a darned thing. It's your choice of course, if you think it is good then leave it.

Could I have used CodeStuff Starter for that? Just installed and removing them now.

    1:45 to Desktop
    3:05 to Complete Start Up

    So 1:35 faster.

That's pretty good pick up really. Too bad you can't take off all that Symantec stuff and it probably would be totally started up before you got your finger off the power button

Thanks Judy. So everything looks good? There's nothing you recommend for faster speeds?

You know the only thing would be get rid of the Symantec and know that isn't possible. There really are no "programs" to add to increase speeds.

Is it possible for me to show you a log of my Add/Remove Programs? I feel like there are a lot of things in there that I do not even know what they are. Could you look through them and tell me the ones that could be deleted?
