2 MSN Messengers

I tried getting MSN live and MSN 7.5, but it won't let me install 7.5, it says that it has a newer version of msn on the computer, how can I have both MSN's installed at the same time?

Why do you want two versions? You only need one and that should be the most recent version.

I want two so I can sign into two accounts at once.

From all I can find, this cannot be done. MSN Messenger is designed to replace it's previous version when installed and only one copy can be on the computer at a time. So in a word, or in five words, no, it can't be done.

I usually use AIM but I have a MSN messenger account that I only use for a couple of my friends here at school. I switched over to GAIM, so that I could have the MSN messenger, AIM, ICQ, etc. up at the same time. GAIM lets me use two different AIM screen names at the same time so I do not think that it should be a problem to do 2 MSN's at the same time.
You can get GAIM at http://gaim.sourceforge.net/ Just click on the link that says "Gaim 2.0.0beta6 has been released". I like it alot because it is safer AIM and I have never had a problem with it. The only thing might be when people try to send you a file because Gaim will block it unless they are using the same version of Gaim. To get around this just open the messenger in its original form and it should work fine....hope this helps

I KNOW it can be done because other people have done it on other forums, but they're all rude and won't help me. I'll try the GAIM thing.

GAIM gives me an error and closes, the error is the one that comes up and says End Now and Cancel.

Gaim gives you an error after downloading and installing? or did you get it set up with one account and then get an error? or what? Im not super good with this but with a little more information I hope that i can help

It's installed and everything, I'm signed into MSN on one account, then try GAIM on my other account and it gives that error.

Well shoot, I don't know what to tell you. I wish I could be more help but that was my only idea. If I think of anything else or of a way to fix it, Ill let you know
