Sounds to me like all is well. That final O23 entry was related to the Yahoo anti-virus suite that you had on the computer. Don't worry about it, this was really just a clean up of the files you removed anyway. If you couldn't find it then that is ok.

As far as that spycar "tester" program, I am glad you removed it and fixed that O1 entry. When searching for info about this I honestly didn't care for the info I found....It IS listed as a virus on some sites, not all, but some. Here is a bit of the info I found;
Official Description: From Spycar website

"Spycar is a suite of tools designed to mimic spyware-like behavior, but in a benign form. Intelguardians created Spycar so anyone could test the behavior-based defenses of an anti-spyware tool. Spycar runs only on Windows, the same platform most targeted by spyware developers."

While this is true, it supposedly mimics malware, but it does make changes to your HOSTS file...as shown in your HJT log, It can place itself in auto-starts, it can make changes or attach itself to Word or Excel files...Now maybe it does no damage and supposedly shows you what your security programs lack but it does make changes which, even though you uninstalled it the change to the Host file was still there. No, it didn't damage but I for one don't want something on my computer that is going to do this.
Good advice is...only use security programs that are recommended, consistently on various sites like this one. If something seems too good to be true...IT IS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE.

Now as far as disabling the unnecessary start up items I recommend using Mike Lin's StartUPControl Panel
rather than using msconfig. This is Free, small, and easy to use.
