Does anyone know how to completely remove the BT Yahoo modem lock programme and the BT Yahoo internet connection manager? Neither are listed in add/remove programmes.

Why do you want to uninstall them? The connection manager is what actually manages your dsl connection. Uninstalling might adversely affect your ability to connect with the internet.
Have you contacted BT about these issues? It could be the install was corrupted and if you reinstall then you may be able to find these programs listed in Add/Remove as they should be.

You should not need any special applications from any ISP just to be able to go online. Besides the windows connection wizard, All that is needed is a good firewall, antivirus and popup blocker, the rest is up to DHCP and whatever mail/news applications you "LIKE"

Hope this helps, In the future, you can consolidate posts that have similar context, in this case, both are related to yahoo connection manager, it would be easier to keep track of your progress/solution in one thread so I have merged the two separate threads into one.
