they're probly getting a KICK back from the N, word company knowing all the canons default to 180ppi, I'd call them and scream at them through the phone that PPI has nothing to do with the image! it can be changed at will without changing the image. A camera has a set number of pixels, the PPI only has to do with how it is displayed or printed.
