A quick scan of you log really doesn't show much...what kinds of problems are you having...
Have had a few comings and goings in the past day of two
doesn't tell us anything. Also I have moved your post to the proper locations which is Spyware Central, Universal Software is just what the title says, about software.

    Hi

The probs which were causing me some concern was I believe something to do with Zone Alarm.
When I powered on PC and it went thru process of starting which was painfully slow, my task bar loaded, then system tray followed by desktop icons which took an almighty long time to activate. One of the progs which I expected to see in system tray was icon for ZA. Took a long time to show up but eventually did.
I then went to msconfig and disabled it and restarted PC. Got a complete different reaction thereafter. All went much quicker.
Reverted to activating ZA once again in msconfig and restarted only to find the situation had reverted to what it was before.
I then uninstalled/reinstalled ZA. Since then it appears to be working as it shud be.
Before sending my log I did a scan and checked the log within Hijack Analyser.
Four sections sections showed up as red which caused me to send log for your analysis.
The fact that you are unable to find anything of concern obviously puts my mind more at ease.
    Any furthere comments appreciated.

Four sections sections showed up as red which caused me to send log for your analysis.
    Here they are;
    O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [ctfmon.exe] C:\WINDOWS\system32\ctfmon.exe
Involved with the language/alternative input services in Office XP. CTFMON.exe will continue to put itself back into MSConfig when you run the Office XP apps as long as the Text Services and Speech applets in the Control Panel are enabled. Not required if you don't need these features.

Both of these are :Related to Network_Diagnostics for Windows XP is available to help identify and fix network connection problems. Note: File is located under %windir%\Network Diagnostic. you can fix them since the files are missing.

    Hi 1964

Somewhat confused in that the sections which you mentioned, not quite sure what should be done with them. Should I keep or remove.

Sorry I was not clearer. If you look in the font that is not bold this will explain what those files are and why they are not a problem. The ones in bold that you can fix if you wish are the O9 entries as the files are missing anyway.

Im no expert but i do run the free Zonealarm....and had the exact same problem...desktop and all else up and ready then 60-70 seconds for the ZA tray icon to come up.....

LUCKILY they just released a new version of Zonealarm that is still free but loads the tray icon in 4-5 seconds
