I knew and I was goofing around too but Judy is super sensitive about her home State!
She gets a BSoD when people smacktalk about IN....you will have to wait till she is running in Safe Mode to get her to forgive you!![]()
With that last comment of mine, she might make a Sheesh-K-Bob out of me!?![]()

Sorry mrweasel, calling someplace a hell hole is not what I call a joke. This goes for both Indy and Baltimore. I have made lots of visits to Baltimore and I think it's gorgeous. In fact will be heading there at the end of March with my daughter and grandkids. Been to three conventions there over the years and we had a ball. PLUS you cannot beat the crabcakes there! I would go back there just for the crabcakes!
In Indy "nice dome" is being replaced by a new stadium with a retractable roof set to open in 2008. Once complete, work will begin on expanding the current Convention Center which will be located on the current site of the RCA Dome. In addition to professional football games (and, possibly, collegiate and high school games), the stadium is scheduled to host the semifinal and final rounds of the Men's Final Four in 2010, with the Women's Final Four one year later. Historically, Indianapolis has been a popular choice for the Final Four, as the NCAA makes their headquarters there, and the events come on a five-year rotation. Plus Indianapolis has issued a bid to host the Superbowl in 2011.
While I am on my "soapbox" about Indianapolis it is also the home of Conseco Fieldhouse universally noted as one of the finest facilities in all of the NBA. In 2005 and 2006 Conseco Fieldhouse was ranked the No. 1 venue in the NBA according to the Sports Business Journal/Sports Business Daily Reader Survey. I have been there several times and it is wonderful.
Victory Field, home of the Minor League Indianapolis Indians is also ranked as one of the finest ballparks in the country. In downtown Indianapolis has a great backdrop of tall buildings in center field and the RCA Dome in right field.
All of the above and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway home of the Indy 500 and NASCAR Brickyard 400...shall I go on? Top notch medical facilities, great universities, fantastic historic neighborhoods, a superior zoo, an award winning Children's Museum...AND the grave of John Dillinger in historic Crown Hill Cemetery. What more could you want?
Not bad for a "hell hole" is it?
P.S. I will deal with YOU later ~TL!![]()

Believe It!
I agree with you Judy, Indianapolis is a very nice city. Though after Orange County or Los Angeles, it might appear a bit small and 'not happenning' to some, I personally had great time every single time I visited my friends who live there. It seemed like a very nice plae to live and raise a family though I didn't see too many cute girls......may be someone warned them about me beforehand?

Can't help with the girls ~TL. I know there is a nice singles scene there but since it has been 40+ years since I was single I really can't help.
