    Hi

Trying to download latest version of Java but having a problem in that when I download and try to install, the instructions appear in German.
Can anyone tell me why, and the correct manner to correct this error.
Has it got anything to do with the Regional and Language setings. To best of my knowledge they are set correctly.

Perhaps I should mention, due to major problems recently had to reinstall Win XP Pro from scratch.

Hopefully I have posted this in correct thread.

    Thanks

    Xonk, Sprechen Sie Deutsch?

Kidding...regional settings could have something to do with it but where did you exatly download it from?

This link is the correct one to my best knowledge.

    Hi

First of all, my German is very basic hence reason for requesting a site where English version can be acquired. I do reside here but mother tongue is English.
When it comes to anything technical I get stuck hence the difficulty.
The site which you indicated is where I did my download but when it got to stage requiring license acceptance it was all in German.
Tried once again with same result which makes me think that my difficulties could be something to do with settings.
Are you able to help in this respect and possibly guide me along those lines.
This could be result of my having to do a clean installion of XP within the last week and maybe not correctly setup in that respect.

    Thanks

    Hi Guys

I am still alive after many trials and tribulations. No matter what I did i.e. visiting sites suggested for downloading, whenever I tried to install, the license aggrement always appeared in German.
I decided to try and change my Regional / Language settings. It turned out that the settings were wrong. Having changed them I then decided to download and all went according to plan.

Thanks for your help and sorry to have bothered you.
