After the display adapter was found and reinstalled I did not go to the next step [ie: no, i did not go to the MFG website] since there were no problems, and the instructions read If it does not...

Let me know if I should go to the MFG website and complete the other set of instructions and I will do so. :-)

Did you read my question? Are you still having the display problems?
Whether you are or not, drivers should always be the latest version, go to the website and see if they have a newer driver than the one you have.
