My Ranger gets about 18mpg on average...it's been getting less because of my bad hub, but that's fixed now so I should be up again.

Yeah, letting go of the 2001 Silverado was tough but the bastages at the dealership tried to screw me since it was a open-end lease! The truck was unique in a few ways, one having the first in its class anti-slip assistance which controlled all 4 wheels against losing control (slips, rubber burning).
What sucked was I owed just about $16K at the end of 3 years where the truck was still worth over $20K...
I like the new one too though. Not great gas mileage but it is decent, has good torque and also solid horsepowers (haha don't trip Gizmo, just teasing you!)...
Tonneau cover cost quite a bit but it was a good add-on regardless. Next, I am thinking about that new hi-tech air flow/filter system....anyone had anything like that done on their car or heard anything good/bad? I could use more input....
I know you are teasing!
I was glad to see my Dakota go, that was the BIGGEST POS I will ever have....14mpg at best with 125ft-lbs and 90HP...V6...****ty...so, I'm happy with what I've got here.

Since we have turned this into a truck thread.
Have you driven an 07 yet? I think Chevy got a little agressive with their programming to keep the truck running as a 4 cylinder too mcuh. The power seems to come on a bit more delayed than before. They are supposed to get great gas milage on the highway. I test drove one, they are nice other than the engine lag.
back from hiatus.
This was turned into a truck thread when someone asked about who the other 2 nations were in our region...and it was mentioned that they were from the dodge truck forums...and it went on from there.

Yeah we unwillingly turned this thread into truck chat because:
A) No one was talking much about the NationStates
B) NationStates site don't have a forum to post on
Back on the truck topic, no I have not test driven one yet. I am a bit confused at the dual versions of Silverados that Chevy decided to come up with. One is Silverado where the other is classic (I am not sure what the exact idea was behind the split), the main diff appeared to be with the body type to engine size. If the truck is a standard cab cilverado it has a 6-cylinder engine where classic silverado can come in quad cab and bigger than usual (5.3) 8 cyl. engine. I personally think it is dumb to get a truck that size with a 6 cylinder despite being more economical gas-wise.
A full size truck needs a 8 cylinder, especially if you will load it up or tow something...
A. I agree
B yes it does. look at the bottom of the left side links
FORUM
The classic is getting rid of left over parts because their sales have sucked.
That new 6.0 looks promising especially if it will pull 20+ mpg.
I have an uncle with a ford with a v6. works great for him, he had it almost 6 years before he put anything in the bed.He has NEVER towed with it and I think the one time he helped some people from his church move was the ONLY time he has put anything in the bed.
A truck is made to work.

Must have overlooked it...![]()
Yeah, no surprise there...FORUM

Same here, haven't really used mine to its full capacity either but I did use my truck's bed on several occasions in the past and most definitely will be again in the near future when I am relocating...almost 6 years before he put anything in the bed.![]()
You guys keep an eye on my country, I just signed a couple fun legislattions...
back from hiatus.
I still do not get how the game picks the order of the nations in a region.
One minute I am on top, the next minute I got 6 on top of me.....errr, that didn't sound right but I am sure you get my meaning!![]()
It appears as the game/events develope by time....and time only, so whoever got started earlier has the advantage.
