Dom, unless you have all the disks there is no way you could even attempt this. You would end up in a worse state than you are now. Don't know if Dell would send more or not, the only thing you can do is call and ask them. Worst thing is they can say no. You only mention youtube videos...are others the same?

What kind of internet connection do you have?

    I will call Dell tomorrow.

Youtube is just an example, playing music on itunes/windows media player as well. Just EVERYTHING is slower. Opening any program takes a while, heck when I press the mute button on my keyboard it takes about two or three seconds to litterally mute.

It just mind boggles with me with all that space I have on my hard drive, everything looks good in my logs you guys said, all the scans picked up nothing bad.

    I just don't understand it...

Honestly Dom, can't find a thing...have searched and searched. You didn't say, how are you connected to the internet?

Sorry, well at home was via Comcast Cable. At school, just through Lan/T1 I am guessing. A high speed jack from the wall.

When you were home were these things happening?
If you have a high speed connection...why do you have all the wireless stuff on there?

Yes that is when it started, on Thanksgiving.

I would like to get rid of any "excess" wireless stuff on there if I could. I have wireless so I can pick up wireless in class as well as at home/at the ice rinks.

I am going to buy the operating disc from Dell for $16. They said I can download the drivers on their website.

Well if you need the wireless stuff then you need to leave it on there. Though don't know that it needs to run all the time however. Not sure if it can be started manually or not.
When you say this slowness started when you were home...it wasn't slow at school, you went home, it got slow and continued when you went back to school?
Were videos slow also before this? Did you add or change ANYTHING when you were home?

$16 is a great deal. Didn't know if they would let you do this or not. Yes, drivers can be downloaded easily.

Everything was perfect at school, went home on Wednesday morning. Thursday morning still good. I went to families for Thanksgiving, came back and everything was slow/messed up.

Now I am back at school and its the same way. It actually messed up my radio broadcast a lot this weekend, after recording interviews with coaches/players i replayed the audio from my computer and it was all choppy and malfunctioning.
