Open task manager and see what processes are consuming the most resources, make note of any tasks/applications/processes consuming high percentage CPU, Also make note of Memory usage. It is possible that there is just a software/application conflict: My highest memory usage is Firefox right now with 75,000. And then svchost with 31,000, and then WLKeeper with 14,000, and then EVTEng with 13,000, and then S24EvMon with 11,000 and then explorer with 9,000 etc. there is no CPU being taken up. Well, Firefox is using 11 CPU.
