    Master Boot Record.

    Its a portion of the hdd that contains information about the drive, how its partitioned, and how to start booting from the drive.

    So if the MBR is found to be corrupt after a CMOS reset, would my current OS still boot or would I have to go through a specific process to restore my BIOS and MBR?
