My copy of Vista is legal.
The attachments should give some idea of what is taking place even though they are not necessarily in order which they were notified.
Regarding whether security program is turned off or not, the answer is no.
Somewhat confused regarding direct automatic download/install, recommended way and download upgrade to desktop.
Upon your response I will then proceed to proceed to do what you mentioned
i.e. disconnecting from internet etc. One question h/ever, which has always bothered me is what can be considered unnecessary programs.
Regarding upgrade from Microsoft, can I assume that you are asking as to whether my Vista is an upgrade from another system? The answer is no. PC was acquired with Vista preinstalled.
I am trying to carry out the procedure as per Windows Update which shows upon checking if there are any updates to be installed. (Recommended way I assume). You will no doubt tell me if that is correct.
