Transferring Microsoft Outlook E-Mails onto a Disc

    Hey Guys,

My computer is slowing down real bad, and I think it's from the number of E-Mails I am keeping in Microsoft Outlook. I have over 4,000 saved emails, and 1,200 sent e-mails that I really cannot delete because I go back and recall information on a daily basis.

I was wondering if you guys knew a way to save the e-mails I have on a disc or somewhere I can recall them for a future time. Is it possible to still keep on my computer without slowing it down? Or do I NEED to put it on a disc? And if so, how?

    Thanks in advance!

    Dom

There are ways of backing up and restoring outlook emails but it depends on what version of outlook you are using.. Also, your computer slowing down might not have anything to do with the number of emails that you have saved.. You may want to start a new help thread in spyware central; after reading the sticky

With 790MB of E-Mail data used? You don't think that should be slowing down my computer?

Don't put those emails on a disk until you know for certain that NONE of them are infected. 750mb of mail will NOT slow the computer but why the heck do you need to save them? If they are important they should be moved off the computer and stored where they cannot be damaged...AFTER each one is scanned for infection.
