    Ip address conflict

I am getting a constant pop up that states I have an ip address conflict on my system. I'm running Windows XP on a Dell. I am not using a router or wireless device. I am on a wireless network who has changed my ip address twice now with no help. My address is static now. Could it be something on my system? Someone hacking me? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you in advance. Dave

I guess I asked for help too soon. I talked with my provider today and he stated that others are starting to complain about the same problem. As of this afternoon he still hasn't figured it out. I wonder if it could be someone's router causing this headache. You may remove my post, thanks.

Interesting situation; if you don't mind, could you follow up on this with a post of the cause of the issue and the solution?
    Thank's for posting
