    Folder option is gone

    Hello

As I have been using window XP for sometime. To come into point, my folder option is gone, no where to be found. I have update NOD 32 and I dont think there is a virus or spyware. However, there is a problem with internet explorer too. Sometimes when I am using Yahoo, a error message comes and woooooo, it close down all the pages of website....

    Please advise .

    thanks

We need the exact wording of the error messages.
Also, I am not certain exactly what you mean by Folder Options...can you explain a little more? Gone from where? Do you mean the option to make a new folder?

    Hi again
I mean the folder option from tools menu bar. I cant find my hidden files any more. Most of my files are hidden, so now folder option from tools menu bar is gone...how to get it back..
    I hope you understand now!!

and the message comes only when I open yahoo page ( it says something cannot be open which needs macromedia flash, there are two buttons in bottom, next and cancel.) Whatever I press, another popup comes up saying sorry for inconvinent, iexplorer has occur some problem... (send/dontsend)...
and I pressed dont send button and all the windows of explorer closes down.

Sorry IF I am saying it correctly, if you didnt understand, I will type the exact message later or maybe screenshots...

    thanks for the support

Have you recently installed or updated nVidia drivers?
Have you done any recent updates or added anything, software or hardware lately?

Have you tried updating Macromedia Flash?

Just because one anti-virus program says there are no viruses does not mean there are no viruses on the computer, especially when you are suddenly experiencing unusual problems.
I always recommend TO BE SAFE that you visit this link

    Lightbulb

It is very likely that either a malicious software or a faulty application installation/uninstallation had caused this problem as Jholland suspected.

But if you are confident that your system is clean, you could try running the attached fix. Even if it doesn't resolve the missing Folder Options menu, it should enable seeing/accessing hidden files and folders.

If the problem still remains, you should go through the steps in that sticky before doing anything else...

PS. I also strongly suggest that you backup your entire registry before doing anything at all (Erunt is very good, see the list in my signature link).
