OH, yes, in 2004 those hard drives were still around, but 30GB drives were the norm...I mean, even in 2000, the 20GB drives were popular....

And yes, I know what K means...all of my work computers have 512K RAM...Yes, I know you were talking disk space....but my point is I know what that means....

20/30GB was not the normal back in 2004, more like 60/100GB were the norm (whatever the heck that implies).

And Yes, K meaning Kilobytes, as in ROM, those things didn't have a HardDisk, just the 64K ROM that served as RAM of todays machines and whatever the heck you loaded from casettes tapes.

And, I seriously doubt your work computers have only 512K RAM, you probably meant 512MB RAM, no?

Judy, those days must have been very tough on you, newly married and pregnant yet your hubby is away from home fighting a war that may be he didn't even believe in himself....kinda like US troops in Iraq today.
I hope I am wrong, I hope they believe in its purpose and that it might somehow do some good...

I knew it, just giving you hard time. If I had a nickel for each one of the typos I commited on this site along, I would have had over a few hundred dollars, then again, it wouldn't compare to what Starshooter would obtain.

Key-Loggers my friend! Most companies got some form of monitoring software on each workstations and yes, technically they are supposed to disclose that info to each employee but who is find out that they are being monitored?

On my company laptop/desktop I found 2 things and also one of the programs registry listing of all the crap I installed on the machine along with the crap that came with the system (image).
I also found another .sys key that acts like low-jack and even keylogger. They systematically scans machines for directory/file listing and also for installed programs. So they can use Marimba to install/uninstall stuff silently in the background which leads to problems half the time.

I doubt your company is that big or that 'corporate' but there is always some degree of control and monitoring done by employers and for a good reason too though time-to-time you might wonder what kind of a monkey is in charge of it...

ROFL! Good point. I know for a fact that our computers do not have monitoring software of any sort on them as of right now...half of the computer have one program, the other have the other half...it's kind of a redneck setup. But I don't mind. The admins are even nice enough in some cases (if we aren't too busy) to help us updated FF or something similar.

That's true...but I'm not that worried about the big brother...you get that everywhere...it pisses me off, but you really can't do anything about it.

So, I guess you do not believe in the saying "People shouldn't be scared of their goverment, the goverment should be scared of their people"?

Oh, I agree with it, but unless people start doing more about it, nothing is going to change....
