I reviewed the link for the Recover My Files program. I figured I'd give it a shot and downloaded the trial version. It would scan the entire drive and rebuild file names, but I couldn't save my files to my Primary HDD. I bought it, and tried again to use it. The only function that seems to be available for recovering them is to save files from that hard drive to another hard drive that's already functioning. I was under the impression that it could rebuild my HDD partition and not force me to move all my files to a separate HDD.
The HDD that's giving me problems was a slave/secondary drive on which I saved many important files. (No, I didn't back it up)
I'm glad to see that I can get most of my files back, but I'd like to find out if there's a way to fix the partition on the drive, rather than rebuilding it temporarily and forcing me to move all of my files.
If anyone's familiar with this Recover My Files program, I'd love the input. Also, if anyone's considering using the program for file recovery, it's a great tool and well worth it.
Thanks in advance..
