Ok, I am running a clean install of Vista Business on a Dell XPS420. I installed a 2nd HDD and booted the computer. I used the Intel ROM utility and setup the RAID0. Setup the BIOS for RAID etc.
Rebooted to the Vista DVD and it saw everything, I made new partition (single) and formatted it. I even loaded the latest SATA drivers from a USB stick.
Windows installed just fine...no issues. I installed network drivers and the latest ATI drivers (I had on a stick ready) and it wanted to reboot. Fine.
Now I get a NTLDR error at bootup. The BIOS says there is no HDD to boot (in the boot sequence) but in the Drivers section, it shows both drives with their details.
I tried to use the Vista DVD to repair, it says it found the installation and found problems with my computer's startup options. It asks if I want to apply repairs and restart, I say YES! It comes up with a 'Failed to save startup options' box.
Whats up?!?! Driving me crazy!
