After doing all the steps in the "Before Posting..." thread, I have noticed some improvement in my computer's performance.
However, my laptop is still moving noticeably slow, especially when running a JAVA application. Recently, the computer has locked-up severals times, especially when switching between users (XP). I have to do a hard restart to get out of it.
The greatest frustration is that of the JAVA slow down as I use many of these applications for work.
