Transfer Media Player files

This might be the easiest fix ever, but......
Can anyone help me understand how to take all of my music files (about 100 CD's) on (MS XP Pro) Media Player 11 and transfer them to another computer using the sames set-up (MS XP Pro)?
I have a Cavalry (250GB) external HD, and I would just like to take my music files from home and add them to my work computer. I cannot find any help online and I'm sure this is going to be and easy tranfer....I just don't want to mess it up.

Have you tried copy/paste?

sounds to me like all you would need to do is put them on the external hard drive and take that to work and attach that to your work computer, unless I am missing something here.
