DVD decoder

where can i DL a PURE decoder for DVD's?

i dont' want to use any 3rd party players......

just a hidden decoder so i can use media player

and using it in XP is not feasible? Most of the executables/programs would work in different versions as long as u figure out what are the .dlls not available in the target Windows version and transfer 'em as well.

If it really is not doable, what are you needing to decoder for? To convert, watch or ...?

they are a great site but it dosn't allow for DVD playback via WMP on WXP

Then your best bet is to check out one of the prospective players mentioned on this link.
I personally do not use my PC for DVD playback anyhow, I burn DVDs and seldom edit clips, etc.

And couple of free DVD Players: Cliprex and VLC Media Player

Just get one of the k-lite codec packs. They usually install with Media Player Classic and will play dvd's. MediaPlayerClassic is about as minimal a media player as you are going to find. It doesn't even install anything, just put the executable on your desktop and away you go.
