Huh! Funny you should mention that.
I just got a pinger, NetWorx Ping it pinged
it 3 times and said:
1 ms, 0 ms, and 0 ms. And TTL 64 for each.
I guess that means fast?
I don't know what TTL 64 means.

I've been having data loss, degraded connection,
and my ISP blames the phoneline, and phone blames ISP.

So I hooked up DSL, and funny thing is, my USP Usenet
service seems to work thru it. ??? (I haven't been to AT&T
yet to turn anything on but my password.)

So here's what the command prompt said:

Pinging adsl-69-106-179-167.dsl.frs2ca.pacbell.net [69.106.179.167] with 32 bytes of
data:

Can I do any trobleshooting my problem with that?
It bugs me that I have an unresolved problem.

a loyal sports fan, one has achieved the final
tranquility of servitude, a joyous slavery.

"If ye love wealth better than liberty,
the tranquility of servitude better than
the animating contest of freedom,
go home from us in peace.
We ask not your counsels or arms.
Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you.
May your chains set lightly upon you,
and may posterity forget that ye were
our countrymen."
