those numebvrs are from what my workplace makes...
we average 6 computers a day + 40 billable hours (55 after wages) and maybe 8 hours billabe on site (around 70 /hr after wages)
+ what ever little proffit we get from parts sales

I wouldn't say little profit from parts sales...the way you make it sound you can get them dirt cheap....I haven't found anything at a computer store cheaper that I could find it at newegg...hell, it's cheaper at Best Buy for everything that I've ever seen at a shop...

best buy is NEVER cheap and our dealer runs from 50-10% cheaper then newegg +_O
some parts are the same tho
guys, newegg has a solid 10% markup on EVERYTHING... Back in the day I helped run a store that did over $10k/day in hardware sales average and had an average markup of 13% even a $500 computer is worth building if you're making $65 on it.
I have been considering getting into selling select things like "niche" market but it just takes too much cash on hand or some kickass credit so I stick with doing other things![]()
yeah.... building a *basic* computer will cost you 500 on newegg... my store charges 500... but with make around 80$ AFTER labor (2 hours to install/updats and test)
im sure it's a bit less once you factor in an employee's hourly wage tax but still...
newegg is cheap but my distibutor is cheaper.... why do you think i started that cheap parts thread?
i'll sell it under neweggs' price =-P
