    Question CD/DVD Writer problems

    Hi,

I've have a Dell Inspiron 6400 with Windows Vista operating system.

Although I can write music to disc from itunes the information can only be picked up by my laptop and not by any of my cd/dvd players.

I also have a desktop computer with a disc writer and any discs written using this can be listened to on the other media players, so i know it's not a problem with them!

Is there anything i can do to change this as there's not much point in downloading to CD if i can still only listen to on my laptop!

    Thanks,

    Louise

I don't have iTunes, or an iPod, and we don't support iTunes, or iPod here; other than pointing you to Apple.com, don't know what else to tell ya, Maybe it's an audio format issue, or iTunes burn option that needs to be checked to make the finished disc compatible with other CD players?
Your best bet is to post all this information regarding your issue, along with what audio format you are burning to the cd, and what OS and version of iTunes; at the Apple iTunes support forum in the "Importing & Burning" section for your OS

If you are burning .mp3 directly to the CD, your other Disc player needs to support .mp3, otherwise the tracks need to be burned as CDDA, .mp3 converted to audio CD, which usually requires that the .mp3 be converted to an uncompressed .avi file, to use as a source for the CDDA tracks.
