Ok I was on the phone to xbox live support for about 2 and half hours, because I got security on my router -_- Anyway, heres a diagram:

Computer - HP Pavillion
Modem - DLINK DSL-302G

Now, I'm pretty sure that the connection and NAT have to go through the modem aswell, am I correct? And if I am, I think this is the reason I can't open it. If I am correct, is there a way to use the router seperate from the modem, and make it useable with the xbox and laptop?
