Help with Hosting Warcraft 3

Warcraft 3 uses ports in the range of 6112-6119. I run Windows XP and have a linksys router. I turned off the firwall and set up port forwarding for the given TCP ports so that I could host games. This worked fine until this morning. I turned on my computer and a box popped up informing me that a computer on my network has the same IP address. I then changed my IP (gave my self a static one that was unused) and changed the port forwarding. I could no longer host games. I took off the static IP address and I was assigned a new one. I set up the port forward again but to no avail. I then put my IP address in the DMZ and still I cannot host. Does anyone know what is going on? Can anyone offer an advice? Thanks greatly,

Ok, so I went back into my router set up today and was just looking at everything. I did not change anything and then tried to host again becuase it looked fine to me still and it worked. I do not understand why. I uninstalled internet explorer 7 between the time that i could not host and could host. Would it be messing with my port forwarding? any information that people have on port forwarding would be most helpful. thanks

could have been some security setting that ie 7 was using?

I really don't know if it was something that ie7 was using. I was able to do the port forwarding when ie7 was just on my computer but then it stopped working. i decided that i didnt like ie7 so i got rid of it and then the port forwarding worked again. I think it could be something to do with it but i dont know why it didnt act up when ie7 was first installed. if you know any more info on what ie7 might be doing security wise i would love to know. thanks for the help though
