The financial crisis you scared?
The financial crisis you scared?
no more than obama taking office
Financial... no.. Worst comes to worst I know how to live off the land Grizzly Adams style, while most of society would die off due to stupidity.
From the sounds of the town meetings, there's no money for road maintanence, but the board members and officials/mayors, county employee's can afford to drive Ford exploders and break my windows er I mean bmw's and own 2 story homes with 3 car garages.... I say repo their new cars since it's paid for by public tax revenue, they obviously defrauded the public to get over-paid salary positions all while sitting comfy while they watch the city strugle.. make those vehicles city property, and put them on a milage restriction; or just sell them to someone to re-coup funds for say, "road maintanence" "that they don't use on the roads" "hardly ever" and replace their bmw's with county transit bus passes... Most of the road damage is caused by comercial heavy weight vehicles,"those guys earn big bucks" and they want joe public to pay for it in extra vehicle licensing/registration fees..
I won't say scared, concerned...my husband has 44 years in with G.M....lots of retirement to lose there if they go under. We kind of thought he might retire next year, hadn't planned on it being a forced retirement with no money however.
tell him grats on 44 years on the job, from me for what its worth. if **** seriously hits the fan up here in canada i too could simply go all coeur de bois (french for runners of the wood) here.
Doesn't look good for a bail out or help. Local mayor heading to meeting tomorrow with other Indiana mayors with auto plants to lay out strategy for helping people WHEN the failure happens of either GM or Chrysler...note they say WHEN not IF.
hey u hear bout the bail out plan 17.6 billion thats a pretty chunk of change since bush is pulling the cash off the magic money tree (world bank loans).
Yeah, heard this morning. My husband's plant will close down two shifts beginning today and continuing through January 19. He will work of course, he has 44 years in, but many will not. Hope this works. Our retirement and insurance is what we mainly are concerned about...
