A quick scan of your log really shows nothing except 5 instances of Internet Explorer running when you did the scan. There should be NO browsers open when the scan is done.
Your log DOES show Norton is there, that is not to say it isn't corrupted but it is there.
I don't really see how the Norton program could be corrupted by PSP9 unless you downloaded a trojan or virus which would damage it.
Which of course could be the case.
Give us more information about the computer itself. Hard drive size, how much RAM is installed?
I am not certain what you mean by the above statement. To do online scans you actually have to go to a specific website. They generally are not built in onto the computer. Unless you mean you cannot locate them in your favorites.I cant find any icons to do a virus scan online
By window do you mean an Internet Explorer window or the window of a picture or another program and do you mean toolbar or taskbar?now everytime i minimize a window it minimizes above the toolbar.
You say this computer is a used computer. Did it come with Windows XP originally installed or did the previous owner install it? Who installed PSP9?
Was the Norton program new and up to date or is it possible that it has expired? If you did not receive a disk with it did you receive the paper work which would come via the web when the Norton was updated?
If you have none of this you might be better off to uninstall Norton entirely and go with a good free anti-virus program like AVG. But don't do that yet.
When you uninstalled the Avant browser did you actually uninstall via Add/Remove or just delete it?
For now I would also turn off all that Yahoo stuff until you get this problem solved. None of that is necessary and can interfere with what we may need to do.

Follow all of the steps given there, including the online scans given. You will have to go to those websites to do the online scans, they are not available by clicking an icon.
Once you have completed all those steps then come back here and let us know what you have found.
