Recuva software

Has anyone used the file recovery software "Recuva"? I would
like to try it but don't like the idea of Yahoo getting involved. The
EULA says I don't have to install the Toolbar, but, would any other
insidious junk intall? TIA.

I would never advocate free software, especially with something as
valuable as lost data. I recommend, File Restore Professional. This is
a commercial product and is guaranteed to be adware/virus/spyware
free. Most the the shareware sites have this in their libraries.
Liklwise they confirm that it is 100% clean and have awarded it five
stars. It is available for download here: www.pcrecovery.com

Recuva works just as good. It has saved my ass a couple of times when I
deleted stuff by accident.

I use Recuva as well as other programs from the same company, all the free
versions. I.e. I use and recommend "CCleaner" and "Defraggler." I'd tell
you what the first "C" in "CCleaner" stands for but I don't want to offend a
Marine.

Download the Recuva program, don't allow it to install anything extra, e.g.
the toolbar, and use it in peace. It works. It is safe, It doesn't spy,
etc., etc. Got that, Marine?

Also, STRONGLY recommend CCleaner.

Thanks for your service. I would have joined the Marines but would never
