is it true about the RIAA and MPAA ?

That they are creating OS/Freeware (and using the GPL in violation of
their own terms) such as http://www.mpcstar.com/ to "spy" on movies /
music downloaded from the internet ? (i.e. working with the major
security vendors such as Avast and Symantec as well as McAffee to not
actually view these programs as "spyware"?) Is it true that M$ has
put in a call home feature in Media Player 11 (whether or nor you have
DRM enabled or disabled) so that if you download a movie from the net
it will immediately tell M$ and the MPAA that you obtained the movie
illegally? Just curious of anyone else has heard this rumor?

Yes, sadly it's all true. If you line your home's walls with tin foil, I
understand that they can't ever catch you. Also, only those who actually
break the law need to worry anyhow.

I just can't agree with this part...

A quick google of Tanya Andersen, Gertrude Walton, Iola Scruse and
Patricia Santangelo show that the innocent also need to worry.

They are passing a new law in Brazil that puts you away for
2-3 years if you copy webpages, that's right, if you keep a copy of
ANY webpage without the authors PERSONAL WRITTEN PERMISSION. (you have
to have the letter, generic permissions are not valid)
    >

But then, why would I worry, "only those who actually break
the law need to worry anyhow. " And I ALWAYS switch off caching and
NEVER save copies, that would be illegal.
And what's 3 years in jail if you live to be 80 ? It'll pass
    in a moment.
    FWIW

Translate the bl^%$%^dy thing. Google translate will do it for
    you.

27.000 people have signed a petition to stop the law, which
has passed in the senate and only needs the presidents signature.

The idea is that if you can't keep anything, you can't say
"you lied" to any politician. That's 1984 for you.

By the way, want a picture of a real moron ? Rotate the camera
    180 degrees.
