If there are no other problems with the computer, you can try to disable, or reconfigure error reporting and see if the games run, without errors.
If there are any critical errors after reconfiguring error reporting, windows may give you a critical stop error, or blue screen of death, with some text. If this happens, copy "word for word" the exact error that you receive and repost it here. Include your full system specs, motherboard make model, hard drive size, how much hard drive space is used/unused, total amount of system memory installed, what opperating system you are using, what video card make and model along with what video card driver version. Including the stop error and other information will help determine what other problems "if any" are occuring, as well as locating a possible fix.
If you do experience issues after disabling error reporting, but do not recieve a critical stop error, there may be other problems occuring, some of which can be caused by a virus or malware infection. If your computer is "funky" without errors, but slower than it used to be, doesn't go online or some other abnormality, you could have a virus or malware infection.
If you suspect there is a virus or malware infection, have a look at the spyware help section sticky "readme before posting"
To determine if you need to take these steps, "after disabling error reporting" "if you continue to have issues" and "there are no critical stop errors to look into" you can post a hijack this log, and we can have a look at it to determin if you need a cleaning etc..
I believe the "what is doctor watson" question has been answered in the response to this very same question at techspot. http://www.techspot.com/vb/topic113767.html, The response is basically a copy and paste from

A side note; check out the paragraph below the "how to configure" link in the kb308538 article at microsoft's website, regarding drwtsn.exe vs drwtsn32.exe
