Thank you for staying with me for as long as you did. I really appreciate the info on getting the right RAM for my motherboard. Hopefully, I'll be able to purchase one soon and improve my video quality. Although my problem has not been fully resolved as of yet, feel free to close down this thread. I'll keep in mind everything you guys have said. Thank you ALL.

OK, Good luck with the ram, if that doesn't help a sure fire way to improve video quality is to get an ATI brand motherboard with ati media center video player software, it has very good video playback.

I've remained impressed by the video playback capability of the rage II pro chipset and ATI's mpeg/media center, although there's probly better options now..
