Question on which Linux op system to use

I have a question which linux operating system is best or a web site that could tell me the pros and cons of each one. I am a "microsoft baby" so the use of strictly command lines intimidates me, but I have a back up computer in need of an op system and thought why not? I looking to be able to surf, download music, it would be nice to be able to play the games I have but I don't think linux will support any MS games.
    Thanks
    Pdho

Many people swear by Ubuntu, Kubuntu or Suse but ever since I started messing around with RH Fedora, I liked it much more than the others.
Granted, I do not use it as a web server or as any kind of server but especially the latest version (9 if I am not mistaken) is quite feature-ful and versatile. Couple of the Linux magazine I glanced at, favored the latest version of Fedora Core over other popular flavors.

    Check it out!

check out some of the linux websites, like www.distrowatch.com and most of the best places to find more informaiton about different distrobutions are linux forums, such as www.linuxforums.org and www.linuxquestions.org

Personally I had Ubuntu for a while, it's simple, good for a Windows user coming to Linux, I personally have used Ubuntu, SuSE, Mandrake(Now Mandriva, haven't tried this yet), Redhat(before Fedora Code), PCLinuxOS... and a few others... I'll admit the bigger distrobutions(Ubuntu, SuSE, Fedora Core and Mandriva) are made for the 'masses' those would be the ones I would recommend to a windows user coming to linux...
