    internet sites being redirected...

    When I type in a url or click a link to a site, the tab in IE 7 shows the name of the site with a number in brackets after the name i.e. CNN [1]. Also, when you click refresh, you can see in the status bar at the bottom, "www.sedoparking.com/cnn.com". I can load my homepage and email (both have shortcuts on the desktop), but I can't load any other web page. I have HJT, but I believe it is the old version and I can't get to the site to download the new version. I have Norton and AdAware and have run both, and neither found anything. By the way, this is on a laptop on a secure wireless network with no other computers experiencing the same issues. Please help...

    Try downloading the apps suggested in the "read me before posting" sticky, via another computer somewhere else, copy your anti-virus/anti-malware apps from that other computer, onto a usb thumbdrive or burn them to a dvdr/cdr disc, then you have a fix it disc that you can use on the computer that has limmited access. Running the older version of hjt might be helpfull, but we will need to see your hijack this LOG, which means you will have to get that file to a computer with clear internet access, so you might as well go get the updated apps from another computer.

    Ok I will do that as soon as I can and put the HJT log up.

    Run the Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware again and this time fix everything found. Then post the new log.
    You are using a WAY, WAY, WAY out of date version of HiJackThis. Current version is 2.0.2
    Delete that old version and download and run a new scan with the new version

    Also do you know who or what tw telecom holdings, inc. is? You IP address shows as Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University but this other shows in your log.

    I was referring to your question about tw telecom holdings;
    O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\..\{481DE7D9-1319-4162-8207-4189329A2080}: NameServer = 168.215.210.226,168.215.210.230

    TW Telecom Holdings is listed as a Time Warner company in VA.. I guess they are all over the place?

    Correct about the IP range being listed for littleton CO though.

    Strange, I am not finding the VA address anymore, even after identical searches.
