There are a few basics that cant stop the next day if there is no damage to the system.

Water is going to flow. its a gravity fed system. Most cities have 1 to 2 days of summer use in towers.
Natural gas isn't going to stop flowing. there is too many CCF compressed in very large pipes available.
Electricity may go offline, but again, most of the grid isn't computer controlled. You may get a drop in power from someone not bringing a generator online in time, but otherwise, your going to have power.
Food doesnt' disappear off the shelves. Its just a matter of being able to sell it.

Right...nothing big is going to happen. Just all of the internet sites will die, well most of them, and our phone systems...but not too much else...

Yeah, me too....considering, if nobody can get to this site, I'm in no jeopardy of losing my place as #1...
