    even with an OEM computer, you can get a copy of a windows install disk and use the windows license number that came with your OEM computer...

    you can download those from several sources. Or talk to you local white box computer dealer and tell them you have the number, but a damaged disk and you need a replacement disk.

    Yeah, you could do that too...but it's still more work than having one sent w/your computer.

    I didn't say I needed a copy...we were discussing the fact that you get charged extra to get a CD with a new computer....
