Talking Downgrading to XP on a Compaq Presario F761US

I have a Compaq Presario F761US which came with Windows Vista home installed on it, but I was very unimpressed with the performance of the OS and wanted to put my copy of XP Professional from my old computer on to this one. I am unsure where to find XP drivers, as the Compaq website only has 3 for XP. I just need to know if there is another computer similar to this one that I can get XP drivers for that will work or if any other work around exists. Any help will be appreciated.

I would just go with the drivers provided by the MFG for their custom buttons, touchpad and lightscribe support. There's also a critical update listed that might be a good idea to install.

I've been working on the same type notebook.
I have found this support forum really helpful.
It tells you where to get ALL drivers, and a tutorial on installing them (there are tricks.)

{dead link removed}You can get some of the XP drivers from the HP driver site, however, there are
pleanty drivers that this site point you to.

    Good luck!

Check the URL of that link, it would not open with two different browsers when clicked on.

cauzomb where did you see the MFG drivers on the website? I must have been looking in the wrong area. If you could link them that would be awesome. I'm going to keep looking around myself too. Thanks.
