Electronic Arts has announced they had acquired Headgate Studios, the development force behind franchises such as Tiger Woods PGA Tour and Madden NFL.
The team is being rebranded EA Salt Lake and will focus on development for the Nintendo Wii. Vance Cook, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Headgate will continue to lead the studio team as Executive Producer, reporting to Nick Earl, Vice President and General Manager of EA Redwood Shores/Maxis.
